Aside from all that my project on 'Death' well the death of flowers, is going pretty well though I tried to freeze an oriental lily an it was a disaster to say the least lol I also found out lilies don't press very well which upsets me a tad because I wanted to do a collage kind of thing, adding different materials to the lilies I had stuck down to a piece of card or wood or what ever I could find. Was thinking a few lilies at the different stages of life, pressed and added colour too depending on what stage it was, so light colours for life, dark colours for death.
I've filled one journal of photos and pen/pencil drawings and have now began to look at vector art and the use of colours and patterns, swirls and how I could incorporate this in with the image of my lily which I photographed and edited using Adobe Photoshop. Am quite pleased with the outcome though it needs a tad bit of work to it, such as altering the colour and the composition slightly. To be honest, and not big headed, I think if I do it right, this could be the idea for my final piece, which intrigues me as I have always wanted to do a graphic final piece but have never had the courage or the skills to go ahead with it. So if anyone reads this and has any tips and ideas and the like they would all be gratefully appreciated
